Learn to write fiction with Jo Barnden

Hi,
I’m Joanna Barnden and I’ve been writing for the women’s magazines market for seven years whilst bringing up my children.

Writing fiction is a job I love and one I’m (hopefully) still getting better at. Writing isn’t a God-given talent; it takes as much work, practice and knowledge as any other trade and I can help you with that.

I’ve had over one hundred stories and serials published in magazines and have learned a lot about what the discerning readers and, more importantly, editors, are looking for.

My writing courses will help you to create engaging characters, bring their problems to life, and structure the way you tell them so that you too can get published. Having your stories published - seeing your name in print - is one of the most satisfying things in the world , as a number of my previous students have happily found out.

Email me for more details or to see samples of my creative writing. I look forward to hearing from you.
